The INEC has set the date for the general elections in 2023.

The Independent National Electoral Commission has set Saturday, February 18 as the date for the country’s 2023 general elections.
Prof Mahmood Yakubu, INEC Chairman, stated this on Wednesday during a one-day public hearing organized by the Senate Committee on INEC on the
National Electoral Offences Commission (Establishment) Bill 2021. “By the Commission’s principle, the 2023 General Election will be held on Saturday, February 18th, 2023, which is precisely one year, nine months,
two weeks, and six days from today,” he said.
“We expect to release the General Election Timetable and Schedule of Activities as soon as the Anambra Governorship election, which is scheduled for
November 6, 2021, is completed. “In order to do so, the electoral legal system that governs the election must be clear and certain. We are assured that the National Assembly will
take the necessary steps in a serious manner.” Details will be given later…
