BREAKING: COURT ADJOURNS NNAMDI KANU’S TRIAl ; SIT AT HOME IN ONITSHA!
There is a pending application before the court to transfer Kanu from the custody of DSS to a penitentiary centre, Kanu’s lawyer, Ifeanyi Ejiofor, told the court. Judicial Binta Nyako declared that IPOB’s leader was not available to testify in his trial.
The court deferred the hearing until October 21, 2021. Mr. Ejiofor told the court that the Department of State Services (DSS) had refused him and Kanu’s relatives the opportunity to visit the former Nigerian leader. Nnamdi Kanu has been arrested, he stated. This court has no authority over the matter since it is outside its jurisdiction.
In the last 10 days, we have been denied access to Kanu. ” His safety is a concern to us, and we don’t know why the federal government won’t allow him to appear before the courts.”
