As ordered by the court, DSS agents bring 12 of Igboho's assistants to trial.

After failing to appear in court on two previous occasions, the DSS hauled the 12 detainees before a court today to explain why they should not be released on bail. Sunday Adeyemo, also known as Sunday Igboho, and 12 of his friends were brought before a Federal High Court in Abuja on Wednesday, in accordance with a court order. It was ordered on July 23, according to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), by Justice Obiora Egwuatu, following an application filed ex parte by counsel for the 12 applicants, Pelumi Olahengbesi, requesting that their fundamental rights be enforced.

Today, Aug. 4, the DSS brought 12 detainees before court to show cause why they should not be freed on bail. NAN reports that only eight of the twelve accused were taken to court during the previous adjourned date.
