Simi takes us down memory lane as she describes their relationship’s modest beginnings with Adekunle Gold.
Simisola Bolatito Kosoko, also known as “Simi,” revealed in a recent radio interview on Beat 99.9FM that her husband’s initial attempts to get to know her were futile.
He had, it turns out, been camping in her Facebook messages, trying to catch her attention, but she hadn’t seen it until years later.
She had already published her gospel record at this point and was well-known in the business. Unbeknownst to many, she did not begin her musical career as the secular musician she is now, but rather as a gospel singer.
Simi and Adekunle met by chance while Simi was performing around that time, and they immediately clicked.
She told him what he told her when they first met, grinning as she described their modest beginnings. The singer claims that her future husband said to her, “I’m such a fan.”
She continued by saying that even when they both received their big breakthroughs, they chose to maintain a low-key relationship at the time in order to “avoid the scrutiny of society.”
Before getting married, the well-known Nigerian singer and songwriter stated that she and Adekunle dated for five years.
They got married in 2019 Soon after, in 2020, the couple gave birth to their daughter Adejare. Despite their humorous backstory, these two have swiftly gained popularity for their adorable photos and flirtatious online conversations.
