The unconventional Nigerian artist Charles Oputa, commonly known as Charly Boy, has provided an explanation for why he remains in his home country.
He claimed that even though his favourite choice for president in the 2023 elections, Peter Obi of the Labour Party, did not win, he is still in Nigeria because he is “hopeful.” Remember that prior
to the 2023 presidential elections, Charly Boy had pledged to leave Nigeria if the incumbent All Progressives Congress (APC) leader Bola Tinubu or the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate Atiku Abubakar won the presidency.
Charly Boy claimed he is still in the nation months after Tinubu was sworn in because Peter Obi gave him new hope. On Friday, he announced this via his Twitter account.
