Simisola Kosoko, better known by her stage as Simi, has finally addressed persistent accusations that she was dating Falz Folarin, also known as Falz the bahd boy, a fellow musician.
Simi and Falz had been linked in numerous rumours prior to Simi’s January 2019 secret wedding to Nigerian artist Adekunle Gold.

Similar to how she handled her connection with Adekunle Gold, Simi did not explicitly confirm or deny that she had ever had a romantic relationship with Falz.
But Simi recently used her appearance on MTV Base Africa’s “Official Naija Top 10” programme to explain the specifics of her relationship with Falz.
Simi stated during the interview that she and Falz had a great working relationship and stressed that it was their musical affinity that led to the dating allegations spreading among fans.

She admitted that the original spark was the cooperation on her song “JAMB Question Remix,” in which Falz was a featured artist. This resulted in the composition of the popular song “Soldier,” which fanned rumours about their connection even more.

The public’s image of their chemistry was never something they intentionally fostered, according to Simi. Instead, they made the decision to take advantage of the rumour and utilise it to their advantage to work together on more music.
We never witnessed that, the gifted singer stated. People purchased items we weren’t selling. And we said, “Okay, this is a plan.” So, we created the album “Chemistry.” The concept and the name came from people. We never came out and admitted that we were dating.

Simi has ended the persistent rumours about her relationship with Falz with her open admission. The baseless relationship accusations were undoubtedly inspired by their successful musical collaboration and undeniable connection; yet, they cleverly embraced them to make even more fascinating songs.
Fans may now appreciate Simi and Falz’s collaboration for the pure musical excellence it symbolises, rather than as a result of Simi’s continued success in the Nigerian music industry.
