The announcement made by Israeli Defence Minister Yoav Gallant that the Israeli military had successfully taken complete control of Khan Younis appears to be a preamble to what is to come, particularly for the people of Rafah who are more concerned about any potential military action.

Since the start of this round of fighting, the Israeli military has been obeying Israeli commands, therefore the Palestinians’ suspicion of them is growing and they currently cannot believe them.

They currently reside in Rafah, the Gaza Strip’s final remaining neighbourhood.

Given the Israeli minister of defense’s recent remarks, it appears that they have nowhere else to go, particularly if Israeli forces intend to force the populace to return to Khan Younis or any other Gazan city that has been reduced to ruins.

If people go back to these places again, they won’t be able to find reliable civic infrastructure.

It appears that the number of civilian deaths will increase.
