Under the terms of the two-way contract, Joeboy will become the next African flagship artist for Warner Music in addition to starting his own entertainment company, Young Legend.

Following five fruitful years in which he put out two EPs (Love & Light and Body, Soul & Spirit), two albums (Somewhere Between Beauty & Magic and Body & Soul), and numerous smash singles and features that accumulated over two billion streams across major DSPs, Joeboy is leaving Empawa as a result of this decision.

Joeboy will serve as the CEO of the new Young Legend label, while Deola Jaiyesimi will head the label and be responsible for producing the next generation of Afrobeats superstars to be seen on a global scale.

Joeboy has followed in the footsteps of music industry titans such as Olamide, Don Jazzy, and his previous label boss, Mr. Eazi, by leveraging their social media influence and financial savvy to raise awareness of underprivileged youth and transform his own career from continental superstar to worldwide force.
