A US House subcommittee suggests giving Israel $17.6 billion in military funding.


Speaker Mike Johnson wrote a letter to members stating that the House could vote on the funding bill sometime next week.

It was presented by a House of Representatives appropriations panel.

$14.3 billion in extra military aid to Israel had earlier been granted by the Republican-controlled House, but only on the condition that funds already designated for the US Internal Revenue Service be recovered.
