President Joe Biden has been urged by US Congresswoman Rashida Tlaib to renounce his backing of the Israeli government’s “genocide” in Gaza.

As Israel gets ready to unleash a major onslaught on the city, Tlaib, a Democrat and the only Palestinian-American woman to be elected to the US Congress, warned that Palestinians seeking safety in Rafah have nowhere else to go.

Tlaib wrote on X, “More than 1.5 million displaced Palestinians are taking refuge in Rafah, and now they are facing threats of attacks.”

“They have nowhere else left to go. When will @POTUS’s backing for Netanyahu’s atrocities come to an end?
