The story behind uchemelenze latest track “Dey play”

Uchemelenze Dey play is a song written and recorded by uchemelenze and this post talks about the inspiration and true story behind uchemelenze Dey play

After months of anticipation, Uchemelenze has finally released his most awaited track titled “Dey Play”. But beyond the beats and the lyrics, the song carries a raw backstory of pain, betrayal, survival, and triumph.

Earlier today, I was with Uchemelenze as he explained the real-life struggles that inspired Dey Play. His words were heavy, filled with memories of close friends and life-threatening experiences that shaped him into the artist he is today.

    The Struggles and Early Losses

According to Uchemelenze, life in the music business has never been easy. Starting out in port harcourt township, he faced jealousy, envy, and constant roadblocks. He recalled how some artists tried to rise but never made it out. Painful examples include the likes of Dj jamo _ tha ibz, V.I. Kelly, Decorage, Vinta 60 and Jaja d Don (R.I.P.) — young talents whose journeys were cut short too soon.

For Uchemelenze, these losses weren’t just stories; they were reminders of how dangerous and unpredictable the journey can be.

    The “Calabar Belt” Sickness

In the lyrics Uchemelenze said: I no be Anthony Joshua but they call me a champion my reward na “calabar belt” if no be Jaja d Don, terry unique, Sparta Roy,(I for don kick bucket)

At one point, Uchemelenze faced what he described as the “Calabar belt,” a strange sickness that almost claimed his life. He said it felt like a spiritual attack, something sent to break him down when he was just trying to do his own thing.

During this dark period, a few people stood by him — names like Nature prince, terry unique, Sparta Roy, and Jaja d Don (R.I.P.) and few of his friends and love ones played a role in supporting him. Even though Jaja d Don (R.I.P.) is gone now, Uchemelenze remembers him as a real one who stood with him during tough times. Against all odds, Uchemelenze survived.

    The Masquerade Incident

In the lyrics he said: Ekpo chase me, Wan fall my hand, but as him chase, him hand come fall him face come show, him hand come fall….

Another story that shaped Dey Play was when Uchemelenze attended a masquerade play. Things took a dangerous turn when one of the masquerades expected something from him — possibly money — but Uchemelenze had nothing to offer.

Offended, the masquerade picked up a machete and attempted to attack him. Uchemelenze ran for his life as the masquerade gave chase. But then, fate intervened — the masquerade stumbled, fell, injured his toe badly, and his mask dropped to the ground.

The crowd immediately turned their energy towards Uchemelenze, lifting him up and hailing him. To them, he had been saved from harm, a sign that destiny was on his side.

The Betrayal at Ebonyi state Show

In the lyrics uchemelenze said: igwe Agrrey call me for show, them pass my back go the show, stupid niggers think say I know go know now everything don gbolo Dey play…..

Uchemelenze said Igwe Agrrey once met him and told him, “I don’t have silver or gold to give you, but I have show connection for you. But I won’t reveal it to you

As they kept getting along, months passed. During December of that same year, Uchemelenze got a call from igwe Agrrey letting him to know that the show will be in January the next year.

The planned show with Igwe Agrrey originally included entertainers like DJ Play Boi, Vinta 60 (R.I.P), Oliver, MP2, and Uchemelenze. But along the line, things took another turn.

Someone else suddenly became the chairman of the planning committee for the Ebonyi State show and even went ahead to take money from Igwe Agrrey, According to uchemelenze the day they where supposed to travel to Ebonyi state for the event he was having some financial challenges at the time which he already lost his phone during this period.

So before departure he told DJ Uzo best that he should call him when they are about to depart for the journey that he wants to go and meet his mother(R.I.P) for some financial assistance, but before Uchemelenze could return from the short trip to meet his mother (R.I.P) they have departed and kept his bag at bimo bar Agrrey road.

Uchemelenze said that immediately he came back and saw his bag, he called DJ Uzo Best, who picked up and told him that they had already started the journey. Then Melenze called Young Kaze, who confirmed that they had already gone past Port Harcourt Shopping Mall (SPAR).

Filled with anger and grief, when he got to Cemetery Junction, he saw the car coming out from Victoria Street to Agrrey Road.

Out of anger, Melenze stopped the car, and the person who had boycotted Uchemelenze from the show came out. After a long argument and grief-filled with exchanges, of words the car’s side mirror broke.

The driver, now angry, said he wanted to go back and park his car since things had turned violent. Uchemelenze then placed his bag inside the car, and the driver drove off to park at Bimo Bar.

However, instead of stopping there, they diverted through another street and continued the journey without Uchemelenze.

In the end, Uchemelenze was refused from attending the show.

It was a huge event that featured big names like Phyno, Jeriq, Ruff Coin (Nwa Aba), and several local rappers. Uchemelenze had been excited, thinking it was his chance to shine, but betrayal struck and left him behind.

But along the way, betrayal struck leaving him behind, cutting him off from the opportunity that could have pushed his career forward. For Uchemelenze, this was one of the hardest pills to swallow — being sidelined by those he trusted.

All these moments — the sickness, the masquerade incident, the betrayal, and the painful memories of fallen comrades — came together to inspire “Dey Play”.

For Uchemelenze, the track is not just another song. It’s a reflection of real-life struggle, a tribute to survival, and a reminder that no matter how hard the street gets, the dream must continue.

  • Why Are Big Stars Always Accused of Scandals?

Why Are Big Stars Always Accused of Scandals?

From Michael Jackson to modern-day celebrities, one pattern repeats itself: once someone becomes a global superstar, rumors and accusations almost always follow. Fans often wonder why famous people seem to attract damaging stories, whether they are alive or even after death.

Let’s break down the reasons why so many celebrities face these kinds of situations.

Why Do Famous People Attract Negative Stories?

Why Are Big Stars Always Accused of Scandals?
    Michael Jackson

Do Big Stars Face Attacks on Their Legacy After Death?

Fame brings attention. Every move a star makes is watched closely, and when there’s no drama to report, the media often magnifies small issues or spreads rumors to keep the public interested. Negative headlines generate clicks, views, and money, which is why scandals get more coverage than achievements.

Do Jealousy and Rivalries Play a Role?

Yes, jealousy is a big factor. When someone rises to the top, not everyone is happy to see them win. Rivals, critics, and even former associates may try to bring them down through damaging claims. For some, attacking a celebrity’s reputation is a way to settle scores or gain attention.

Why Are Celebrities Linked to Crimes or Misconduct?

Accusations of serious crimes often come with fame. Some of these claims are real, but others are exaggerated or completely fabricated. The reason celebrities are easy targets is because:

They have money, making them vulnerable to lawsuits or settlements. Their names bring instant publicity. A scandal attached to a famous person spreads faster than one involving a regular individual.

Yes. When a star passes away, their image becomes even more valuable. Documentaries, interviews, and books can reshape how the public remembers them. Sometimes these projects focus on scandals because controversy sells better than positivity. This is why stars like Michael Jackson, Whitney Houston, and Tupac continue to face damaging stories even years after their passing.

Why Are Big Stars Always Accused of Scandals?
    Michael Jackson

How Does Being Different Affect a Star’s Reputation?

Most legends became famous because they didn’t follow the rules. Their style, personality, or lifestyle often stood out from the crowd. But standing out also makes them misunderstood. When the public doesn’t fully understand a person, rumors and misinterpretations spread quickly, turning uniqueness into controversy.

Why Do Fans Still Support Their Idols Despite the Rumors?

Many fans separate the art from the stories. Music, movies, and achievements leave a lasting impact that often overshadows negative claims. Supporters believe in their idols and defend them because of the inspiration and joy they bring, regardless of what the media says.

Late Mohbad Saga: OAP Oriyomi Hamzat Apologizes to Naira Marley, Lifts Two-Year Ban on Marlian Records Music

Popular Nigerian broadcaster and Agidigbo FM founder, Oriyomi Hamzat, has officially apologized to singer Naira Marley after previously accusing him of being linked to the tragic passing of late artist Mohbad.

Why Did Oriyomi Hamzat Ban Marlian Records Songs?

Late Mohbad Saga: OAP Oriyomi Hamzat Apologizes to Naira Marley, Lifts Two-Year Ban on Marlian Records Music

Back in September 2024, shortly after Mohbad’s sudden demise, Hamzat announced that Agidigbo FM would no longer play any music from Marlian Records. At the time, public anger was heavily directed at Naira Marley, with many pointing fingers at him over the controversy surrounding Mohbad’s career and death.

Oriyomi Hamzat’s Apology to Naira Marley

Speaking recently on air, Oriyomi Hamzat admitted he had been hasty in judgment. He explained that his decision was fueled by public emotions and not based on verified facts. Hamzat expressed regret for painting Naira Marley in a bad light, adding that he is now willing to give the Marlian Records boss a fair chance.

Marlian Records Music Returns to Agidigbo FM

With the ban officially lifted, songs from Naira Marley and other Marlian Records artistes will once again return to the Agidigbo FM playlist after nearly two years of absence.

Late Mohbad Saga: OAP Oriyomi Hamzat Apologizes to Naira Marley, Lifts Two-Year Ban on Marlian Records Music

What Does This Mean for Naira Marley’s Career?

The apology and lifting of the ban may help Naira Marley regain some lost ground in Nigeria’s mainstream music scene. His reputation suffered a heavy blow following Mohbad’s passing, and many radio stations and DJs reduced or completely stopped playing his songs.

Now that one of the biggest independent radio voices in Nigeria has reversed its decision, it may open the door for more platforms to re-embrace Marlian Records music.

Full video:Naira Marley Speaks Out on Mohbad in New 2025 Interview

Naira Marley has broken his silence again, releasing a fresh interview in August 2025 where he addressed his relationship with Mohbad and the controversies that followed the singer’s tragic death in September 2023. The interview, titled “My Side of the Story,” premiered on YouTube and has been trending across Nigerian media.

What did Naira Marley say about Mohbad’s death?

In the interview, Naira Marley stated that he was not in Nigeria when Mohbad died. He explained that he was in Europe, specifically Amsterdam, at the time of the incident. According to him, when he first saw online posts about Mohbad’s passing, he thought it was just clout-chasing until he confirmed the news was real.

He also stressed that media narratives twisted the situation, portraying him in ways he felt were unfair. Marley insisted that he had no involvement in Mohbad’s death and repeated that the official investigation had already cleared him of wrongdoing earlier in 2025.

How did Naira Marley describe his relationship with Mohbad?

Naira Marley explained that their relationship was more personal than the public assumed. He said he often advised Mohbad against substance use and tried to guide him through the pressures of fame. Marley acknowledged there were disagreements in the past but argued that their issues had been exaggerated on social media.

Naira Marley Speaks Out on Mohbad in New 2025 Interview

    Why is this interview important?

The interview matters because it is Marley’s most direct attempt at addressing lingering doubts from fans. Even though the Department of Public Prosecution (DPP) released a report clearing Marley and others earlier in 2025, the public debate hasn’t ended. With this video, he appears to be trying to reset the conversation and clear his name before a wider audience.

What has been the reaction so far?

    Public reactions are mixed.

Supporters feel the interview shows transparency and offers a chance to hear his own account rather than relying on speculation. Critics argue that his statements came too late and that some issues he addressed still raise unanswered questions.

Clips from the interview have been circulating widely on Instagram, TikTok, and Twitter (X), sparking heated arguments between fans of Marlian Music and those who believe the case is still unresolved in the court of public opinion.

What does this mean for Naira Marley’s career?

This interview could shape the next phase of Naira Marley’s career. With the stigma of Mohbad’s death still tied to his name, public trust is his biggest challenge. The sit-down may help him reconnect with loyal fans, but convincing skeptics will likely take more than words—it may require new music, live performances, and consistent public engagement.

  • UMG CEO Lucian Grainge Says He Had No Prior Knowledge of Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us”

UMG CEO Lucian Grainge Says He Had No Prior Knowledge of Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us”

The ongoing tension between Kendrick Lamar and Drake has produced one of the most talked-about diss tracks of the decade — Not Like Us. Released on May 4, 2024, through Interscope Records, the song became an anthem for fans and a heated talking point in the rap community. But now, an unexpected figure has been pulled into the conversation: Universal Music Group’s CEO, Lucian Grainge.

According to court documents filed on August 15, 2025, Grainge insists he had nothing to do with the track’s approval, release timing, or promotion. His name surfaced because Drake’s legal team requested access to his personal communications, arguing that he was “personally involved” in decisions surrounding the diss track.

UMG CEO Lucian Grainge Says He Had No Prior Knowledge of Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us”
    CEO Lucian Grainge

What exactly did Lucian Grainge say?

In his sworn statement, Lucian Grainge made it clear that he had never heard the recording of Not Like Us, nor seen the cover art or music video, until after they were released by Interscope Records. He described claims that he approved or directed the rollout as “groundless” and “ridiculous.”

This puts the spotlight on how much direct involvement a music executive of his level actually has in an individual song release — especially when it comes to artist-driven tracks like diss records.

Why is Drake’s legal team interested in Grainge’s emails?

Drake’s lawyers believe Grainge’s communications could reveal whether there was any strategic push from UMG to amplify Not Like Us. This matters to Drake’s side because the song did massive numbers and heavily shaped public conversation during their feud.

UMG’s legal team has pushed back strongly, calling the request unnecessary and an attempt to harass one of the most high-profile executives in the music business.

Could a CEO really be unaware of such a huge track before its release?

It’s more common than people think. Large record companies often manage hundreds of releases a month. While executives might be briefed on major projects or collaborations, not every single track — especially those created quickly in the middle of an artist rivalry — gets a CEO’s attention before it drops.

In this case, Not Like Us was part of an ongoing rap battle between two megastars. It’s possible the rollout moved fast enough that the usual corporate review process wasn’t followed at the top level.

Who is truly responsible for the release?

From the official statements, all signs point to Interscope Records handling the release directly. Interscope is part of UMG, but its team operates with a degree of independence, especially on creative and promotional decisions for its artists.

If Grainge’s declaration is accurate, the decision to release Not Like Us rested entirely with Interscope’s internal team and Kendrick’s camp.

What does this mean for the Kendrick vs. Drake feud?

This legal back-and-forth adds another layer to an already charged rivalry. Kendrick Lamar has been riding a wave of cultural and commercial wins since the track’s release, while Drake’s side continues to look for ways to challenge what they see as an orchestrated push against him.

Whether Grainge’s name stays in the legal spotlight will depend on the court’s decision about those requested communications. For now, the CEO stands firm: he didn’t hear Not Like Us until the world did.

Did Rema Really Steal Omah Lay’s Album Idea?

What’s the story about Omah Lay and Rema?

On August 12, 2025, an Instagram account believed to belong to Omah Lay revealed screenshots of a chat between him and Rema from December 16, 2023. In that exchange, Omah Lay shared a track called “mara rough” that reflected his new sound direction. Rema responded by sending his own file titled “Now I Know”, which later appeared on his HEIS album. Omah Lay noted that Rema showed interest in his vibe and asked if he could jump on it—which he defined as collaboration—but then released a similar concept just four months later  .

Did this really push Omah Lay into a creative slump?

Yes, according to the Instagram story, this incident deeply affected Omah Lay. He reportedly went on a break and only returned to the stage months later—on June 28, 2025, in Brussels—looking emotionally fragile. The post said he’s also now channeling that trauma into fuel—both healing himself and warning others who tamper with his creativity  .

Did Rema Really Steal Omah Lay’s Album Idea?

Has Omah Lay addressed this publicly before?

Yes. In an older interview, he mentioned that he delayed an album because a trusted colleague took his concept and released something very similar. That forced him to go back to the studio and start over on what he believed would become “the greatest album of all time in Afrobeats history”  .

    What Readers Might Be Asking

Why did Omah Lay share this via a burner account?

He likely wanted to speak freely without pressure from fans, colleagues, or the public. Burner accounts allow a raw, more personal outlet.

    Has Rema responded?

No, as of August 12, 2025, Rema hasn’t publicly addressed these claims  .

    Did this derail his career?

Did Rema Really Steal Omah Lay’s Album Idea?

Only temporarily. Omah Lay paused his album rollout and scrapped the original project, but he eventually bounced back. Notably, his album Boy Alone released in 2022, with a deluxe edition in 2023, received wide praise and helped establish his unique sound  .

What lesson is Omah Lay—and the industry—taking from this?

Creative ideas are deeply personal and valuable. Sharing them with someone close doesn’t guarantee respect or protection.

In some cases, this type of cancellation can also come with a 10-year travel restriction, which appears to have affected them.

    Was This a Last-Minute Issue?

From what has been reported, the visa situation wasn’t sudden. If a travel restriction is placed, it typically lasts years unless lifted through legal processes. This means they likely knew well before the Miami event that attending would not be possible.

Did Chioma Still Have Family Support at the Wedding?

Yes. While her parents could not be present, Chioma still had other loved ones and friends supporting her on the big day. Photos and videos from the ceremony show an atmosphere of celebration, with the couple surrounded by their inner circle.

    How Did Fans React?

Social media reactions were mixed. Some expressed sadness that her parents missed such an important event , while others focused on celebrating the union itself. A few fans even debated whether the couple should have hosted the wedding in a location where both families could easily attend.

Could Her Parents Attend Future Events in the U.S.?

If the reported 10-year restriction is accurate, they will not be able to visit the U.S. for several years unless they manage to resolve the matter through an official appeal or diplomatic intervention.

-Odogwu Burna Boy scatters CP again

How Burna Boy and Cubana Chief Priest’s feud started

Earlier this year, Burna Boy and nightlife promoter Cubana Chief Priest clashed online in a heated back-and-forth that got the whole entertainment space talking.

Burna took the first swing, mocking Cubana as the “Owerri Rick Ross” and throwing in the slang “Azaman” — implying he’s a fraud or middleman. He also hinted that someone close to Cubana had been arrested in Atlanta and that Cubana himself could be next.

That jab didn’t sit well with Cubana Chief Priest. He fired back, dragging Burna’s Grammy win and accusing him of picking up the award in a less-than-proud manner. He also threw shade at Burna’s spending habits and claimed he had booked Burna for just ₦1 million at his 2018 birthday, long before Burna was an international name.

What Cubana Chief Priest said to Burna Boy

Cubana’s reply was direct. He accused Burna of being bitter and jealous, suggesting his success wasn’t as authentic as he claimed. He mocked Burna’s jewelry collection, claiming it was all bought on credit, and insisted that he had been balling long before Burna hit the limelight.

    Burna Boy’s comeback

Burna Boy responded by saying he pays for everything in full, often in cash. He called Cubana a liar and challenged him to prove otherwise. The singer went further, reposting a video of a man he said was Cubana’s brother — a phone repairer in Alaba Market — and offering him $30,000.

Did Burna Boy give the $30,000?

Yes. The man later shared a video thanking Burna for the money. This went viral, with fans debating whether the gesture was generosity or another way to embarrass Cubana. Cubana, however, denied any connection to the man, calling it a publicity stunt.

    The drama over alleged spying

Things escalated when Cubana claimed Burna was monitoring his home in Ikoyi. He even tagged the police, saying if anything happened to him or his family, Burna should be held responsible. The tension between both men didn’t seem to cool off after that.

Fast forward to now — Burna Boy has thrown fresh shade again. Using “GP” as a nickname, he mocked the fact that the person can’t enter America for their favorite wedding. Fans instantly linked this to Cubana Chief Priest, especially because of the history between them and the timing around Davido’s high-profile wedding in the US.

    Why people are paying attention

Celebrity feuds like this grab attention because they mix entertainment with personal rivalry. It’s not just music or nightlife talk — it’s ego, pride, and public image on display for everyone to judge. • Judge Allows Drake to Subpoena Key Witness in “Not Like Us” Botting Case Against UMG

Judge Allows Drake to Subpoena Key Witness in “Not Like Us” Botting Case Against UMG

The legal fight between Drake and Universal Music Group (UMG) over Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us” has taken another turn. A federal judge has given Drake’s legal team permission to serve a key witness through alternative means, opening the door for new testimony in the high-profile dispute.

Why is Drake Taking Legal Action Against UMG?

Drake accuses UMG of using artificial streaming tactics, often called “botting,” to inflate the popularity of Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us.”

Judge Allows Drake to Subpoena Key Witness in “Not Like Us” Botting Case Against UMG

His team claims this was done to damage his reputation and boost the diss track’s chart position. Court documents suggest that these alleged actions involved third parties who were paid or incentivized to manipulate streaming numbers.

Who is Kojo Menne Asamoah and Why is He Important?

Kojo Menne Asamoah has been identified as someone who may have direct knowledge of UMG’s alleged botting strategy.

According to Drake’s lawyers, Asamoah was involved in arranging payments or incentives to those carrying out the artificial streaming activity.

He is one of over 60 individuals Drake’s team plans to subpoena.

Why Did the Judge Allow Alternative Service?

Drake’s attorneys say they tried 11 separate times to serve Asamoah in person, hiring private investigators and spending more than $75,000 in the process. Those efforts failed to locate him.

U.S. District Judge Jeanette A. Vargas has now authorized service by certified mail, email, and posting the subpoena at his last known addresses. This is intended to ensure Asamoah is aware of the order and has a fair chance to respond.

How Will the Subpoena Be Delivered?

The court has approved three different delivery methods:

Certified mail sent to multiple physical addresses linked to Asamoah. Door posting of the subpoena at those addresses. Email to three active addresses connected to him or his businesses.

These steps give Drake’s legal team a higher chance of making contact without relying on face-to-face service.

    What Happens if Asamoah Testifies?

Judge Allows Drake to Subpoena Key Witness in “Not Like Us” Botting Case Against UMG

If Asamoah is reached and complies, his testimony could provide critical details about whether UMG directed or financed any streaming manipulation for “Not Like Us.”

This could influence the direction of Drake’s defamation and unfair competition claims. If his statements align with Drake’s allegations, it could strengthen the case significantly.

    What Has UMG Said?

So far, UMG has not issued a public response to the latest developments. The label has previously denied any wrongdoing in relation to “Not Like Us.”

    Why This Case Matters

The outcome could have a ripple effect on how the music industry handles streaming fraud allegations. It also highlights how competitive disputes between artists can extend far beyond the music itself, spilling into the courtroom.

More than a year after Kendrick Lamar dropped the explosive diss track “Meet the Grahams”, fans are still wondering: Does Drake really have a hidden daughter?

The line in question set the internet on fire when Kendrick rapped:

“Tell your daughter I’m her uncle today / She gonna grow up and find out you a weirdo…”

At the time, this alleged revelation shocked listeners and stirred online debates. But now, months later — with no photos, confirmation, or even rumors backing the claim — fans are circling back to Kendrick with one simple question:

    Where is Drake’s secret daughter?

Kendrick Lamar Called Out: “Was It Just a Rap Cap?”

Social media is buzzing again, especially on platforms like X (formerly Twitter) and Reddit, with people questioning the truth behind Kendrick’s diss. Some are defending him, saying the line was metaphorical or just part of a battle strategy. Others are pressing hard, suggesting it was a serious accusation with no proof.

    One fan posted:

“It’s been a whole year. If that girl exists, TMZ would’ve found her already. K-Dot might’ve been reaching.”

    Another wrote:

“This is why people say battle rappers lie just to score points.”

Drake Has Never Responded to That Specific Allegation

Even though Drake fired back with his own tracks like “Family Matters” and “The Heart Part 6,” he never directly addressed the daughter line — which only added to the mystery. Fans expected him to either deny it or clarify, especially after how the world reacted when Pusha T exposed Adonis back in 2018.

Fans Question Kendrick Lamar Over Drake’s Alleged Hidden Daughter Mentioned on “Meet the Grahams”

    But this time, silence.

Was Kendrick Lamar Trying to Repeat Pusha T’s Impact?

Some believe Kendrick was trying to recreate the viral moment Pusha T had when he revealed Drake had a son in “The Story of Adidon.” But instead of exposing real tea, Kendrick’s lyric may have been an attempt to plant doubt.

If that’s true, the move might have backfired — because so far, no credible source or insider has confirmed that Drake has a daughter.

  • Samklef Drops Bombshell: Burna Boy Outmaneuvered VDM While Davido Played Along

Samklef Drops Bombshell: Burna Boy Outmaneuvered VDM While Davido Played Along

Music producer Samklef recently shared sharp words about content creator VDM (VeryDarkMan), claiming loyalty is a rare quality in fame-chasing individuals. He warned Davido to steer clear of VDM, calling him a main target in industry drama. According to Samklef, “never trust the loyalty of a poor man,” especially when desperation is involved.

    What Samklef Is Saying

Samklef argues that when VDM faced legal trouble, it was Davido—not Burna Boy—who stepped in behind the scenes to help. But in an alleged twist, VDM reportedly attacked Burna Boy secretly to gain favor with Davido. Then, after Davido reportedly sidelined VDM during a high-profile meeting with Ubi Franklin and President Tinubu, VDM allegedly switched allegiance and began subtly dissing Davido.

Samklef Drops Bombshell: Burna Boy Outmaneuvered VDM While Davido Played Along

He adds that Burna Boy played his cards quietly—letting VDM rant without direct engagement, while staying clear of any major drama himself. The clash, Samklef believes, reveals who really knows how to survive in the entertainment industry’s murky waters.

    Why This Sparks Drama

Samklef’s claims are wrapped in distrust, hidden rivalries, and strategic silence. His blunt phrasing—calling out VDM as a “desperate male asewo”—has already stirred reactions online. Davido supporters question whether public loyalty is real when behind-the-scenes alliances shift overnight.

    Reactions On Social Media

Many fans echoed Samklef’s warning to bDavido: “Stay away from people like VDM. Darkness go stain your white!” Others are debating the honesty of VDM’s motives—some see him as opportunistic, while others demand corroborating evidence.

    What Could Happen Next?

Samklef ended his latest post by promising more revelations soon. Whether new proof or a hard-hitting narrative, he says he’s just getting started. If verified, this drama could reshape public views of alliances within the entertainment space.

  • Tiwa Savage Cuts Ties With Mekka Millions, Appoints Vanessa Amadi as New Manager

Tiwa Savage Cuts Ties With Mekka Millions, Appoints Vanessa Amadi as New Manager

Nigerian music star Tiwa Savage has made a significant move in her career by officially ending her working relationship with longtime manager Kemi “Mekka” Akunyili, also known as Mekka Millions. The announcement, which came through a direct message on Tiwa’s official Instagram story, has sparked widespread attention from fans, media outlets, and industry insiders.

This decision didn’t come quietly. Tiwa Savage expressed concern over the ongoing confusion surrounding bookings managed through Mekka Millions. According to her post, anyone who continues to conduct business or send payments to Mekka’s team will be doing so at their own risk, as she has moved all management-related matters to a new structure.

Tiwa Savage Cuts Ties With Mekka Millions, Appoints Vanessa Amadi as New Manager

Why Tiwa Savage Cut Ties With Mekka Millions

In her post, Tiwa stated that she had given more than enough time for people to adjust to the transition but was still receiving complaints and seeing bookings handled in ways she no longer approves. She warned against working with Mekka or his team going forward and clearly stated she won’t be responsible for any losses incurred through those channels.

This announcement points to a deeper dissatisfaction behind the scenes. Tiwa didn’t go into detail about the exact cause of the fallout, but the public nature of the statement suggests this was more than a quiet restructuring it was a necessary reset to protect her brand and business affairs.

    Vanessa Amadi Takes Over

Tiwa has now appointed Vanessa Amadi-Ogbonna as her official manager. Vanessa is not a new face to the singer’s camp. She has previously worked closely with Tiwa on several major projects, including her critically praised Celia album and the Water & Garri film. Vanessa is respected in the entertainment business and has a strong reputation for professionalism, especially in the UK and Nigerian music circles.

With Vanessa now overseeing all bookings, communications, and strategic decisions, Tiwa seems focused on taking her brand to a more structured and accountable level. Her message made it clear this is a full transition, and there’s no going back.

    Reactions and Concerns from Fans

Some fans welcomed the switch, especially those who have noticed delays or irregularities in how Tiwa’s events were managed recently. Others recalled the controversy surrounding Vanessa earlier in the year when Tiwa’s ex-husband, TeeBillz, accused her of managing the singer in a way that allegedly led to Tiwa spending less time with her son. Despite that, Tiwa has stood firmly by Vanessa, choosing her to take charge of this new phase in her career.

Tiwa Savage Cuts Ties With Mekka Millions, Appoints Vanessa Amadi as New Manager

What This Means for Promoters and Event Planners

Tiwa’s announcement wasn’t just for the fans — it was also a message to event organizers, promoters, and brands. All bookings must now go through Vanessa Amadi or her authorized representatives. Anyone who continues to reach out to Mekka or his circle does so outside the approval of Tiwa Savage, and such dealings will not be recognized by her team.

This could affect those who have pending shows or collaborations under the old management, and it’s expected that Tiwa’s legal team may soon step in to prevent any misuse of her brand or performance rights.

A Fresh Start for the Queen of Afrobeats

Tiwa Savage’s decision to switch management may be the start of a fresh chapter in her career. With a Netflix film under her belt and several international collaborations, including work with Brandy and Wizkid, she’s no stranger to reinvention.

By taking control of her professional affairs and making this public, Tiwa has reminded everyone that she is not only an artist but a brand that must be handled with care. With Vanessa now steering the ship, fans are eager to see what comes next whether it’s a tour, new music, or more film projects.

  • Is VeryDarkMan Doing Damage Control for Naira Marley and Sam Larry? Fans Are Asking Questions

Is VeryDarkMan Doing Damage Control for Naira Marley and Sam Larry? Fans Are Asking Questions

VeryDarkMan (VDM) is once again in the spotlight this time, not for his usual outspoken posts, but for how far he’s going to defend Naira Marley and Sam Larry. Ever since public outrage over Mohbad’s death brought intense scrutiny to both men, many expected VDM to stay neutral or even hold them accountable. But his recent videos and statements have taken a different turn, and fans are starting to notice.

    The Sudden Shift in Tone

In the past, VDM built his brand on calling out wrongdoing, dragging fake activists, and fighting what he saw as injustice. But now, some of his supporters are confused by his new approach to the Mohbad case. Instead of keeping the same energy, he seems to be putting in serious effort to clean up Naira Marley and Sam Larry’s public image.

From emotional rants to long videos defending their actions, VDM is now facing accusations of running damage control for them.

“Even If Una Like Give VDM N1 Billion…”

This line has gone viral on X and other platforms. It reflects what many Nigerians feel that no amount of money or influence can erase what happened to Mohbad or silence public outrage. So when VDM began aggressively defending the same people many hold responsible (directly or indirectly), the backlash was expected.

Is VeryDarkMan Doing Damage Control for Naira Marley and Sam Larry? Fans Are Asking Questions

    People are now wondering:

Why is VDM going this hard for them? Is there something he’s not saying? Was he paid to push this narrative?

These are fair questions and his tone only adds to the suspicion.

    The Problem With “Overdefending”

Damage control becomes obvious when it feels too forced. That’s exactly how VDM’s recent posts have started to come off. Instead of simply stating facts or sharing updates, he’s now attacking anyone who questions Naira or Sam Larry, calling out critics, and creating long explanations that only raise more doubts.

In some of his recent videos, he appears angry and emotional not at those being accused, but at those asking questions. That energy shift is why many now believe his defense is no longer organic.

Naira Marley and Sam Larry’s Reputation Is Still in Question

Even if the law eventually clears them of wrongdoing, public opinion is already damaged. Too many clips, too many statements, and too many unanswered questions are floating around. The way Mohbad’s death shook Nigeria cannot be erased by a few PR campaigns or emotional videos.

What makes this worse is that VDM was once seen as one of the few who wouldn’t let things slide. So when someone like him suddenly starts pushing a softer image for those at the center of the storm, fans feel disappointed even betrayed.

“Let Me Go on a Spiritual Break”

In his recent statement, VDM said he would address the matter again after a “spiritual break.” That alone raised eyebrows. It felt like a move to step back from the heat, especially after being accused of switching sides.

Whether it’s a strategy, a genuine retreat, or a way to cool things off before returning with more content, only time will tell.

    The Public Is Watching

Right now, many Nigerians don’t trust anything that looks like paid PR. The pain from Mohbad’s death is still fresh. People are still demanding justice. Any influencer or celebrity trying to repaint the image of those linked to the case will be watched closely and called out if necessary.

VDM has a loyal fanbase, but he’s walking on thin ice with how he’s handling this one. Public trust isn’t easy to win, and it’s even harder to keep when money and bias start to enter the picture.

VeryDarkMan Accuses Iyabo Ojo, Samklef, and Others of Sabotaging Mohbad’s Justice: Here’s What We Know

The quest for justice in the case of late Nigerian singer Mohbad has taken another controversial turn, as social media activist VeryDarkMan real name Martins Vincent Otse has come forward with serious allegations. In a video that has been widely shared online, he claimed that a group of celebrities including Iyabo Ojo, Samklef, Dre (Davido’s PR), and Jigan Baba Oja conspired to mislead the public and hinder the truth about Mohbad’s death.

VeryDarkMan Accuses Iyabo Ojo, Samklef, and Others of Sabotaging Mohbad’s Justice: Here’s What We Know

These claims have sparked new conversations online and reignited public concern over how the investigation into Mohbad’s case has been handled. Here’s a breakdown of what’s being said, how those involved have responded, and why this is drawing attention.

    What Did VeryDarkMan Say?

In his latest video posted on July 26, 2025, VeryDarkMan alleged that Iyabo Ojo was the brain behind a WhatsApp group that involved several key entertainment figures. According to him, this group wasn’t created to support Mohbad’s family but rather to control the story and manipulate public opinion.

VeryDarkMan Accuses Iyabo Ojo, Samklef, and Others of Sabotaging Mohbad’s Justice: Here’s What We Know

    He claims:

The group planned his arrest following his persistent calls for a DNA test on Mohbad’s son. A nude video of him, which recently went viral, was allegedly leaked as part of their strategy to discredit him. He believes these individuals were more interested in protecting certain interests than finding the truth.

He accused them of using social media to divert attention from the real issues surrounding the late singer’s death.

    Who Are the Celebrities Named?

Iyabo Ojo: A popular Nollywood actress known for her active voice during Mohbad’s early justice campaign. She has yet to respond to these specific accusations. Samklef: A music producer who was vocal about Mohbad’s case in the beginning. He has denied the allegations, stating the WhatsApp group was formed to unite people for justice, not to silence critics. Dre: Associated with Davido’s PR team, Dre is said to be part of the group chat, although he hasn’t issued any public response. Jigan Baba Oja: Actor and comedian who was also named but has remained silent as of the time of writing.

What Was the Group’s Alleged Purpose?

VeryDarkMan Accuses Iyabo Ojo, Samklef, and Others of Sabotaging Mohbad’s Justice: Here’s What We Know

According to VeryDarkMan, the WhatsApp group was created as a tool to control the public narrative. He believes that the people involved were determined to keep certain questions—especially around the singer’s child and cause of death—off-limits. He says his arrest and media attacks were coordinated efforts by this group to shut him down.

He insists that the calls he made for transparency and accountability were not welcomed by some of the so-called justice advocates.

    Samklef’s Response

VeryDarkMan Accuses Iyabo Ojo, Samklef, and Others of Sabotaging Mohbad’s Justice: Here’s What We Know

Samklef has been the most vocal among those accused. He responded with a series of posts denying all the claims, calling VeryDarkMan a clout-chaser. He insists the group was not secret, and it was meant to bring fans and industry players together to demand answers regarding Mohbad’s death. According to Samklef, no plots were made to sabotage VeryDarkMan or mislead the public.

He also challenged VeryDarkMan to release full proof—especially screenshots or chat history—that show any coordinated effort to derail justice.

The Bigger Picture: Why This Matters

Mohbad’s death in September 2023 shook the country. Public pressure forced authorities to begin an investigation, and several entertainers and influencers rallied around his family. However, since then, questions have continued to arise about the sincerity of some of those involved.

VeryDarkMan Accuses Iyabo Ojo, Samklef, and Others of Sabotaging Mohbad’s Justice: Here’s What We Know
VeryDarkMan Accuses Iyabo Ojo, Samklef, and Others of Sabotaging Mohbad’s Justice: Here’s What We Know

The new claims from VeryDarkMan could either force more transparency or damage reputations depending on what evidence he can present. The key concern among fans and observers is whether justice for Mohbad has been politicised or commercialised by people who claimed to be helping.

    What Are People Saying?

Reactions online have been divided. Some believe VeryDarkMan has raised important points that deserve answers, especially considering how quickly some people backed away from the case once it lost social media traction. Others think he’s using the controversy to regain attention and increase his reach after weeks of being offline.

Many fans are now demanding that:

Iyabo Ojo respond directly to the allegations. The group chat screenshots be made public. Public figures who claimed to be fighting for justice explain their roles more clearly.

    What’s Next?

As of now, Iyabo Ojo and Dre have not publicly addressed the accusations. VeryDarkMan has promised to release more details if pushed. Meanwhile, Mohbad’s fans are watching closely, hoping these renewed controversies don’t derail whatever progress has been made in the investigation.

This story is still developing. Whether more receipts will be shared or more names will be dragged in remains to be seen. What’s certain is that the case has taken a dramatic new direction that may either bring clarity—or spark even more confusion.

  • Joyner Lucas Destroys Skepta Again in “Round 2” – But Did He Go Too Far?

Joyner Lucas Destroys Skepta Again in “Round 2” – But Did He Go Too Far?

Joyner Lucas has returned with another lyrical attack aimed directly at Skepta, and this second diss track, “Round 2,” is catching serious attention online. While some believe Skepta held his own this time, it’s hard to ignore how surgical Joyner’s bars were. From direct insults to mockery that could stain reputations, Joyner took things up several levels. Let’s break it down.

Joyner Lucas Responds with Fire in “Round 2”

The beef started with Joyner’s original diss where he called out Skepta for being irrelevant in the U.S. rap scene. Skepta clapped back with his own record, labeling Joyner the “Black Eminem,” among other shots. Instead of dodging it, Joyner flipped the line as a compliment:

“From the Black Eminem, that’s a compliment

I’ma wear that badge, I’ma honor it.”

Joyner didn’t just respond—he went straight for Skepta’s pride. He threw shots at Skepta’s connection with Drake, accusing him of riding waves just to feel validated.

“You d**k ride n****z and you fine with it

You got a lil’ co-sign and you proud of it

And you would do anything just to get an OVO chain, even swallow it.”

That line sparked a reaction from fans online, many calling it one of the hardest disses of the year so far.

    Skepta’s Image Comes Under Attack

One of Joyner’s boldest punches came when he questioned Skepta’s style and compared him to Rihanna’s man, A$AP Rocky—only to say Skepta fumbled the swag and ended up like Lil Nas X.

“How you gon’ steal A$AP Rocky’s swag

And f**k it all up and go g*y with it”

This line had social media buzzing, not just because of how cutting it was, but because it came after Joyner made it clear he wasn’t here to play. He painted Skepta as someone trying to imitate trends without authenticity, and people are talking.

The Funniest Line Might Be the Most Disrespectful

There’s something about repetition that makes a diss hit harder. Joyner reused one of his lines from “Round 1” that clearly still bothers him—and it’s going viral again.

“In my life, I haven’t seen anyone say ‘put on that Skepta sh*t’”

It’s blunt, and it stings. Joyner is emphasizing Skepta’s lack of replay value, especially outside the UK. This bar is less about punchlines and more about public perception—and it might be working.

    Who’s Winning the Battle?

When it comes to lyricism and flow, Joyner Lucas has the upper hand. He’s known for complex rhyme schemes and fast-paced delivery, and “Round 2” is packed with those qualities. Skepta, on the other hand, brings presence and UK pride to the table. His voice carries weight, and his delivery appeals to his home base.

    Online reactions are split:

Fans of bars and technical rap mostly side with Joyner. Skepta loyalists say he stood his ground and didn’t fold under pressure.

Still, Joyner’s second track feels more targeted and personal. Whether it’s about flow, disrespect, or raw aggression, he landed blows that are hard to ignore.

    Will Skepta Respond?

That’s the big question right now. If Skepta responds, the battle continues—and UK vs. US rap beef might reach a new level. But if he stays silent, Joyner may walk away as the clear winner in this back-and-forth.

Either way, “Round 2” has added serious energy to the current hip-hop scene, and fans are eating it up.

Rick Ross has once again landed in the middle of controversy, and this time, it’s not about music or business. The clip has triggered a wave of reactions on social media, and 50 Cent was quick to throw in his usual jab.

What Really Happened on That Yacht?

The video in question surfaced late last night and has since made its way across X (formerly Twitter), Instagram, and hip-hop blogs. It appears to show a man who strongly resembles Rick Ross getting close with another man on a private yacht. The video is grainy but has caused enough of a stir to trend across platforms.

The clip doesn’t show the faces clearly, but viewers claim Rozay’s body type, beard, and jewelry make it hard to mistake him for someone else. So far, Rick Ross has not addressed the situation publicly, which has left fans to wonder whether the silence means the clip is real—or completely fake.

    50 Cent Wastes No Time

As expected, 50 Cent jumped in almost immediately. On Instagram, he posted a screenshot from the video with the caption:

“Ya man was looking real savcy k⁰ssing that boy on that boat! That’s not AI.”

It was classic 50 — blunt, mocking, and timed to perfection. His fans joined in, dropping memes and laughing emojis in the comments.

This isn’t new for 50 Cent. He has a long history of mocking Rick Ross, dating back to their beef in the late 2000s. Whether it’s about weight, business, or personal life, 50 has always found a way to poke the bear whenever Rozay shows a crack in the armor.

    Fans Are Divided

The reactions from fans have been mixed. Some are defending Rick Ross, calling the clip fake or edited. Others are sharing jokes and memes, using it as another reason to reignite the long-standing 50 vs. Ross rivalry. A few even suggested the video was a publicity stunt to draw attention to new music or a business move.

Still, there’s a chunk of the internet that’s waiting for either confirmation or denial from Rick Ross himself. Until then, the rumors will continue to swirl.

Could This Affect Rick Ross’s Brand?

Rick Ross has built a strong brand over the years — from rap music to Wingstop franchises and Belaire promotions. He’s seen as a boss, both in music and business. If this rumor sticks, it could spark new conversations about image and expectations in hip-hop, especially in how male artists are perceived.

Whether the video is real or not, public silence in today’s fast-paced internet world can often do more damage than a quick statement. Fans want answers, and they want them fast.

50 Cent Keeps Winning the Internet

If there’s one person who benefits from all of this, it’s 50 Cent. His ability to flip any moment into a viral post continues to keep him relevant, even outside of music. Every time Rick Ross gets into drama, 50 turns it into entertainment.

And once again, he didn’t miss a shot.

VeryDarkMan Stirs Controversy with New Diss Track Targeting Governor Okpebholo, Portable, and Prophet Fufeyin

VeryDarkMan has once again taken the internet by storm — this time through music. Known for his bold videos and public criticisms, the social media activist turned musician recently released a diss track that has generated mixed reactions across platforms. In the newly released song, he called out Governor Monday Okpebholo, street-hop artist Portable, and popular preacher Prophet Jeremiah Fufeyin.

VeryDarkMan Stirs Controversy with New Diss Track Targeting Governor Okpebholo, Portable, and Prophet Fufeyin

Let’s break down the drama, why this diss track is trending, and how people are reacting.

Why Did VeryDarkMan Drop a Diss Track?

VeryDarkMan has never been the type to keep quiet when he sees something he doesn’t agree with. But this time, instead of his usual online rants, he chose to express himself through a diss song titled “Ole” (which means “thief” in Yoruba). The track is already making rounds on YouTube and social media platforms.

In the track, VeryDarkMan expressed his frustration with what he sees as failed leadership, street celebrity behavior, and fake miracles. Many of the lines in the song are direct and controversial, which is why reactions have been intense.

Who Did He Target and Why?

    Governor Monday Okpebholo

The governor of Edo State was the first person mentioned in the track. VeryDarkMan mocked Okpebholo’s leaked WAEC result, claiming he scored an “E8” and questioning how someone with such a result could lead a state. This jab has sparked serious debate online about the credibility of Nigerian leaders and the role educational background plays in public office.

    Portable

The feud between VeryDarkMan and Portable is not new. They’ve thrown shots at each other several times online. In the diss track, VDM referenced Portable’s past run-ins with the police and alleged involvement in a Keke theft case. He also pointed out Portable’s recent dramatic outbursts, calling him an attention seeker and claiming he thrives on chaos.

    Prophet Jeremiah Fufeyin

VeryDarkMan also came for Prophet Fufeyin, accusing him of exploiting his church members by selling healing soap, water, and perfume. He questioned the authenticity of the miracles associated with the cleric and criticized the commercial aspect of his ministry.

    How the Public Is Reacting

Fans and critics didn’t hold back once the song dropped. Comments started pouring in immediately. Some praised VeryDarkMan for being bold enough to say what many are thinking. They found the song funny, direct, and necessary.

Others believe he went too far, especially with his comments about a religious figure and a sitting governor. A number of users feel that mocking someone’s academic history or spiritual beliefs should be off-limits — even in a diss track.

Still, many have called the song “the funniest diss track of 2025.” On Nairaland, some users joked that Portable would likely respond with another chaotic freestyle just to stay in the spotlight.
